I've never done laundry in my life. — Seun Kuti
Seun Kuti, an Afrobeat singer, claims that his late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, granted him preferential treatment over his siblings.
On the Zero Conditions podcast, Kuti discussed how he was spoiled as a child.
He claimed to be his father's favorite, emphasizing that he was a great parent to him, despite his brothers' claims that he is "a terrible dad."
The artist boasted that because he was spoiled since childhood, he had never done laundry in his life.
"I've won the daddy lottery." Fela Kuti is my favorite person in the world. If you questioned my brothers, they could think he was a bad parent, but he was a wonderful father to me," he explained.
"You don't realize how spoiled I was growing up. I've never done laundry in my life. I do not know how to wash anything. "I am not bragging."
He also disclosed that he joined his late father's band, Egypt 80, at the age of eight.
"I've been with Fela's Egypt 80 band since I was eight years old. So after Fela died, my family requested me to continue with the band and keep all the money I earned," he explained.
