'People say I had children with Tyna Onwudiwe.' — Charly Boy

Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, has spoken out about his friendship with the late singer Tyna Onwudiwe.

Charly Boy revealed that he was almost married to the late singer.

He admitted that there were rumors that he was the father of some of Tyna Onwudiwe's children.

"I almost married Tyna [Onwudiwe]." One day, we sat down and discussed it. "Oh, no, I don't see myself marrying two wives," he recalled.

"By the way, if we marry, we'll murder ourselves. Let's become good pals. We became the best of friends. Tyna was a beautiful soul. She'd donate her last dime to a stranger. That was who she had always been.

"They used to mock me by calling her my wife. They stated your wife had cancer. I wanted a female to assist me with that. Because if I did it on my own, people would ask, "Isn't she your girlfriend?" Isn't she your wife?

"In fact, some of her kids, people think they're my kids."

Charly Boy claimed he raised finances for the late singer during her struggle with cancer, but the sickness took her life.

Tyna Onwudiwe died on June 29, 2001, only 17 days after her 47th birthday.
