The singer made the statement on Saturday, following the turmoil surrounding Edo State's ongoing governorship race.
David Adeleke, the world-famous Afrobeat singer also known as David, and Jubril Gawat, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's Senior Special Assistant on New Media, had a furious confrontation on X because to political differences.
It all began when Davido called the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) "the most dangerous institution in Nigeria."

Gawat, an APC member, dismissed Davido's claim and responded negatively.
He wrote, "This tweet only means one thing."
In response, Davido, a big supporter of Edo's PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo, wrote: "U go dey here dey tweet nonsense but any time I'm around your principal, nah you go first carry phone with flash like okirika dey blind person eye."
Gawat responded by uploading a video of Davido applauding and referring to his boss, Governor Sanwo-Olu, as "the real 001" at his wedding ceremony.
