AFCON 2025 Qualifier: 'He can't be stopped' - CAF praises Super Eagles standout, Osimhen
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has praised Victor Osimhen for his superb performance in Nigeria's victory over Benin Republic on Saturday.
Osimhen scored one of the Super Eagles' goals as they defeated the Benin Republic Cheetahs 3-0 in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matchday one match in Uyo.
The 25-year-old replaced Victor Boniface in the 72nd minute.
The forward scored Nigeria's second goal six minutes later.
Wilfred Ndidi set up Osimhen, who hammered the ball into the net.
CAF turned to social media to congratulate the strong striker.
They commented on X, "Only 6 minutes were needed to open his account for the season."
