Rema's 'Calm Down' sets a new milestone as the first song to spend a year on the US Billboard Chart.

Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, a Nigerian music sensation, has achieved another milestone with his song 'Calm Down,' featuring Selena Gomez, becoming the first song in history to spend one year on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart.

Chart Data, an American data collection company, announced this on Monday.

The smash song was number one on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart for 52 weeks.

It peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Canadian Top Songs list.

The song also became the world's first No. 1 hit on The Official MENA Chart (the world's first regional streaming chart) and was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records.

When the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) introduced the MENA Chart on November 29, 2022, it debuted at No. 1.
