Cuban Singer El Taiger Passes Away One Week After Shooting Incident
El Taiger, a popular reggaeton artist, has died.
The 37-year-old died on Thursday, October 10, 2024, one week after being shot in the head.
His family verified the occurrence in an official statement posted to the singer's Instagram stories.
"On October 3, soon after 7 a.m., officers arrived to NW 17th St. 10 Ave and found El Taiger shot in the head inside a black Mercedes SUV. And was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
"He underwent surgery and was put on life support, but he died from his injuries. From the minute he arrived at Jackson Memorial, a team of physicians worked diligently to provide him with the care he required.
"Sadly, El Taiger died this afternoon and is now in heaven with his beloved mother. While this is both shocking and devastating, we encourage his followers to remember him by sharing the joy he brought to so many."
