However, the Clarets secured a point after Andre Onana conceded a penalties, which Zeki Amdouni equalized from.
Ten Hag told BBC Match of the Day: "We put ourselves in a winning position and dominated the game for long periods of time."
"Only in the second half of the first half did we concede some chances; the rest of the game was ours.
"We were in a winning position; we gave it away.”
