Mauricio Pochettino Wants More Time At Chelsea As Gary Neville Advocates For Him
Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea's manager, is unsure whether he will stay beyond this season, with sources claiming that the Premier League club may replace him this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino was hired Chelsea's manager before of this season in the hopes of turning the club's fortunes around.
Unfortunately, the Stamford Bridge-based side has struggled as badly as they did last season, prompting some club fans to advocate for his dismissal.
After a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, May 2, a Sky Sports reporter asked the Portuguese tactician about rumours that he could be fired at the conclusion of the season.
Mauricio Pochettino stated: "I think enough is enough.
“All the managers need time to translate their ideas and their philosophy. More when the team is like this squad is. We need to have time. It’s not my decision.

"It's challenging to see myself being scrutinized and judged on a weekly basis. But it is not my decision whether or not to be here."
Meanwhile, Gary Neville, a former Manchester United player, has urged Chelsea to give Mauricio Pochettino more time following the club's impressive 2-0 victory over Tottenham.
"There was talk of Pochettino being under pressure about a month ago," the retired England international remarked.
"But I think it would be crazy to change the coach, whose work with these types of players is well-known.
"Making sure you have stability through another transfer window appears more important than the notion that someone else will come in and perform a better job.
Pochettino has had some up and down moments this season. But this is a good one.”
