Super Eagles drop eight places in lastest FIFA Ranking
Nigeria's Super Eagles fell eight places in the latest monthly ranking announced by the Federation of International Football Federations (FIFA) on Thursday.
The three-time African champions slid from 30th to 38th place.
It should be noted that the Super Eagles slipped two positions in the previous FIFA rating.
The drop in the rankings comes after the team's dismal performance in the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The West Africans held South Africa's Bafana Bafana to a 1-1 draw at home before losing 2-1 away to Benin Republic's Cheetahs.
However, the Super Eagles are among Africa's top five sides.
Morocco is the continent's highest-ranked country, with Senegal in second place. Egypt and Cote d'Ivoire rank third and fourth, respectively.
