Super Falcons’ Echegini wins top award in Italy
Jennifer Echegini of Juventus Ladies has been crowned the best under-23 player in the Women's Serie A.
According to TalkTalk Nigeria, the Nigerian joined Juventus from the American club Florida State Seminoles in January.
Echegini had a significant effect in the second half of the season, scoring 10 goals and contributing one assist in 16 appearances across all competitions for the Bianconeri.
The 23-year-old's effort proved crucial to Juventus' qualification for the UEFA Women's Champions League.
She will be awarded with the award at the start of the next season.
Echegini is anticipated to join the Super Falcons' roster for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
She has made nine appearances for Nigeria and scored one goal.
