Euro 2024: Mbappe under fire after Spain defeated France
Frank Leboeuf, a former Chelsea player, has blasted Kylian Mbappe following France's 2-1 Euro 2024 semi-final loss to Spain on Tuesday.
Leboeuf says Mbappe underperformed for France at the Euro 2024.
Mbappe scored just one goal in five games for Les Blues at Euro 2024.
On ESPN's YouTube channel, Leboeuf said this about Mbappe:
"He'll get pummeled (by the crowd) because they have every reason to be disappointed.
"He only scored one goal and provided one assist. Mbappe requires more. We place him on such a high pedestal and believe he is the finest player in his position in the world, but you must prove it.
"Even before his injuries, he had been battling for 2-3 months. Is this because he signed with Real Madrid? Hopefully, his experience in Madrid will be better. There is concern about him. Mbappe was not excellent."
