Singer Aduke Gold's family has revealed that he died of cancer.

The family of late gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, also known as Aduke Gold, has officially revealed the cause of her death.

According to TalkTalk Nigeria, Aduke Gold died on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.

Her unexpected passing elicited a wide range of reactions on social media, as fans and industry colleagues mourned her loss.

A few hours following her death, a viral report stated that Aduke Gold died during fibroid surgery.

However, in response to the debates sparked by the singer's tragic death, her brother, pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, denied the claim and urged that people should check information before spreading rumors.

In a now-trending social media video, pastor Ajayi revealed that Aduke died of cervical cancer, citing the hospital's death certificate.

He stated, "Whoever is stating what is not true should stop; our daughter was ill, she had cervical cancer, she was transported to UCH in Ibadan, and she died. The information that is going around is false."
