U-20 WWC: Make Nigeria proud—Minister charges Falconets
On Saturday, Minister of Sports Development John Enoh entrusted Nigeria's U20 Women's National Team, the Falconets, with making the country proud.
Enoh revealed this in a statement posted by his spokesperson, Diana-Mary Nsan, as the Falconets prepare for the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Bogota, Colombia, later this month.
The Falconets, managed by Head Coach Christopher Musa Danjuma, qualified for the tournament following a string of strong results in the qualifications.
Enoh's statement to the squad showed trust in their ability and encouraged them to exceed their prior successes.
"Your predecessors did well, reaching the competition's championship twice and making it to the semifinals once. It is now time for you to advance our country by winning the trophy.
"The Government and the people of this great country are with you, and I am confident that you will not disappoint," he stated.
