NPFL: Sunshine Stars declare three players AWOL

Sunshine Stars have declared Abdulrafiu Taiwo, Osimaga Duke, and Lucky Nwafor wanted.

According to the club, the three players refused to join their teammates for pre-season training despite the club's approval.

The Owena Waves have advised teams and agencies not to engage with players in the transfer market without their clearance.

They also indicated that the players are still contracted to Sunshine Stars, and any attempt to illegally gain their services would result in a lawsuit.

Meanwhile, the remainder of the team is in Akure, preparing for the 2024/25 NPFL season.

The Akure club is expected to participate in a series of friendlies prior to the start of the new season.
