Rosemary Chukwuma of Team Nigeria has qualified for the women's 100m semifinals at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
Rosemary placed third in her first Preliminary Round in the 100m women's competition.
She finished third in 11.26 seconds, with Dina Asher-Smith of the United States taking second in 11.01 seconds. While Ewa Swoboda of Poland won the event with a season's best time of 10.99s.
Rosemary is one of three African women, behind Marie Josee-Ta Lou (Ivory Coast) in 10.87 seconds and Gina Bass (Gambia) in 11.01 seconds, who will compete for a spot in the final.
The women's 100m semi-finals will take place by 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
