Protests: Portable loses 100,000 followers due to 'poor people' insults
Controversial Portable, a Nigerian singer, has lost over 100,000 followers following his provocative remarks on the ongoing national hunger strike.
In a viral video on social media, Portable claimed that there were no protests in Sango, Ogun State, where he lives.
His statements sparked outrage, with several fans threatening to abandon him if he continued to make inappropriate remarks about the demonstration.
Following the threats, over 100,000 Instagram users unfollowed the artist within 24 hours of publishing the video.
In an earlier video, Portable compared himself to billionaires Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote, blaming the protest on a lack of critical thinking.
