Guiu, a Chelsea striker, says quitting Barcelona was not motivated by money.
Marc Guiu, the new Chelsea striker, has denied leaving Barcelona for financial reasons.
The Blues used a £5 million release clause to sign the 18-year-old.
Guiu reportedly turned down a new contract with the LaLiga giants.
The adolescent informed BBC Sport about his intention to leave Barcelona, saying: "There was no problem with my contract. I've always wanted to play in the Premier League, and Chelsea is a terrific club with a lot of history. It was a difficult decision, but it was an incredible opportunity, so I had to go for it.
