Transfer: Michelle Alozie signs new two-year contract with Houston Dash

Michelle Alozie, a Super Falcons defender, has signed a new two-year contract with NWSL club Houston Dash.

The new contract begins on January 1, 2025.

The contract included a mutual option for the 2027 NWSL regular season.

The 27-year-old joined Dash in 2021 and has since established herself as a crucial player for the club.

Alozie stated that she is excited to continue her career with the club.

"Houston will always hold a special place in my heart; this is where I began my professional career and earned so many opportunities to grow on-and-off the field," she told the team's official website.

"I am enthusiastic about the organization's future and want to help this team succeed. I am aware of the work ahead and I’m thrilled to be a part of this team for years to come.”


The right-back has appeared in 54 games across all competitions for Houston Dash.

She has scored six goals and tallied two assists for the club.
