Why I dismissed accusations that I am transgender - Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga, an American musician, has stated why she opted to disregard claims that she is transgender.

In an interview with Variety, Gaga explained that she chose not to address the rumors because she did not want to make being transgender appear shameful.

"I didn't feel like a victim with that deception, and I wondered: What about a youngster who is being accused of that, who would expect a public figure like me to feel ashamed?
"I've been in situations where fixing a rumour was not in the best interest and the well-being of other people," she further added.

TalkTalk Nigeria reports that Lady Gaga just confirmed her engagement to her French lover, Michael Polansky.

The singer claimed that her mother introduced her to her fiancé.
