Elton John shares up about his issue with eye infections.
Sir Elton John, the legendary British singer, has opened out about his battle with an eye infection.
In a personally signed statement, the 77-year-old revealed that the infection left him with "limited vision" in one of his eyes.
He said that his recuperation has been extremely slow.
"I've been dealing with a severe eye infection, which has left me with only limited vision in one eye." "I am healing, but it is a slow process, and it will be some time before vision returns to the impacted eye," the message stated in part.
John also mentioned that he is "feeling positive about the progress I have made in healing and recovery thus far."
The septuagenarian announced his retirement from touring few months ago.
His farewell tour, which ended early last year and grossed $939 million (£749 million) across 328 gigs, was the highest-grossing music tour in history until it was surpassed by Taylor Swift's 'Eras' tour ($1 billion).
