Ola Aina Set to Extend Nottingham Forest Stay Despite Interest from Chelsea, Man City & Liverpool

Nigeria international Ola Aina is reportedly ready to commit his future to Nottingham Forest, despite attracting interest from Premier League giants Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool.

According to TEAMtalk, Aina, who is in the final months of his contract, has chosen to sign a new long-term deal with the Tricky Trees rather than make a big-money move to one of England’s elite clubs.

Aina’s Rise at Nottingham Forest

Since joining Forest on a free transfer from Torino, Aina has proven to be a key player under Nuno Espírito Santo. The 28-year-old full-back has made 29 league appearances, delivering solid defensive performances while also scoring two goals.

His ability to play on both flanks, contribute in attack, and defend with discipline has made him one of Forest’s most valuable assets this season.

Turning Down the Big Guns?

With clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool reportedly interested, some fans may question Aina’s decision to stay at Forest rather than seek a move to a top-six club.

However, signing a new deal could provide him with consistent playing time rather than risking limited opportunities at a club stacked with defensive depth. Additionally, Forest seems to have ambitious plans for the future, and Aina may feel he has unfinished business at the City Ground.

A Smart Career Move?

For Aina, the choice between chasing trophies at a big club or continuing to thrive as a key player at Forest is a tough one. While a move to a top team could be tempting, regular first-team football and long-term stability might be more valuable at this stage of his career.

What do you think? Is Aina making the right decision by staying at Forest, or should he take the leap to a bigger club? 🚀⚽
