“The government needs to do something about pedestrians crossing the expressway” – Singer, Skales raises alarm after h!tting a girl while driving on Lekki-Epe expressway

Nigerian musician and songwriter Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, also known as Skales, has revealed how he nearly avoided killing a girl while driving on the Lekki-Epe road.

The musician described his encounter on Instagram, adding that he was driving in the speed lane when a tiny child unexpectedly jumped into his car.
He said that he was terrified that the girl had perished because of the amount to which she flipped in the air and frantically yelled for assistance. The girl was brought to the hospital and found to be alive.

Skales has petitioned the government for the construction of pedestrian bridges to prevent accidents on the freeway.

He wrote,

“Just had one of the craziest experience in my life…while driving on Lekki epe expressway, a lil girl ran into the gaddamn express way and I was driving on the speed lane and hit her…I was so scared! I saw her body fly over! I thought she was gone. So I parked and asked folks around for help to get her in my car and go to the hospital.. I was so confused ! Thinking I have killed someone.. THANK YOU JESUS WE GOT HER TO THE HOSPITAL THEY CONFIRMED SHE’LL be okay ! I paid the bills and handed everything else over to her parents including some money… the govt needs to do something about pedestrian crossing the expressway.. oh my Gosh what a day my life is really a movie ! Fuck!! “
