Transfer: Wrexham boss elated to sign Okonkwo on permanent deal
Phil Parkinson, Wrexham's manager, has expressed his excitement at Arthur Okonkwo's permanent signing to the club.
Okonkwo, 22, spent the season on loan at Wrexham from Arsenal.
The goalkeeper made 40 appearances with the Red Dragons in all competitions, recording 16 clean sheets.
Last season, Wrexham finished second in Sky Bet League Two, earning promotion to League One.
Okonkwo has signed a three-year contract with Wrexham.
"We're thrilled with the signing. "It's very important for us," Parkinson told the club's official website.
"Arthur was terrific for us last year, and we've worked really hard since the season ended to secure his contract.
"It's a testament to all of the hard work that has gone on behind the scenes, since it's never easy, but we've always believed that perseverance is essential when attempting to achieve your number one goal, and Arthur was certainly that.
"It's a great first signing of the summer for us."
