CAFWCL: Edo Queens defeat Hassacas Ladies 3-0, advance to semifinals
Edo Queens defeated Ghana's Hassacas Ladies 3-0 in the second group game of the 2024 CAF Women's Champions League qualifier in Bouake on Wednesday night.
Following their victory, the Nigerian champions advanced to the competition's semi-finals.
The first half concluded in a 0-0 draw, with neither team capitalizing on opportunities.
After the break, Edo Queens seized control of the game with two quick goals from Esther Moses and Emem Essien.
Benin City's captain Suliat Abideeen scored the club's third goal.
Moses Adukwu's team defeated Niger's AS Garde Nationale 5-0 in their first game.
They've now scored eight goals without conceding in the competition.
Edo Queens will play their last group game on Saturday against Burkina Faso's Omnisports Etincelle.
