AFCON 2025 qualifiers: Super Eagles camp expands by 11 players
Eleven players are now in Uyo for the Super Eagles' 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Captain William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Ola Aina, and Taiwo Awoniyi were among the first to arrive in camp on Monday morning.
Augustine Eguavoen, caretaker head coach, also arrived in Uyo from Belgium on Monday.
One of his assistants, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has also arrived at camp.
Victor Boniface, a forward for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, was the final player to arrive at camp Monday night.
The remaining 12 players are expected to report to camp on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the Super Eagles will hold their first formal training session at Uyo's Godswill Akpabio International Stadium practice ground.
