Transfer: Super Falcons winger set for Everton move

Toni Payne, a Super Falcons winger, is scheduled to sign with Everton of the Women's Super League.

Payne was recently released by the Spanish Femenino side Sevilla when her contract expired.

According to The Guardian, the 29-year-old will officially join Everton this week.

Last season, the former Ajax player made 30 appearances for Sevilla and scored six goals.

The WSL transfer window officially opens on June 24 and will remain open until September 13, before the new season begins on September 21 and 22.

Payne played for the United States at the youth international level before switching allegiances to Nigeria and joining the Super Falcons squad that advanced to the knockout stage of last summer's Women's World Cup.
