The late Oyo APC chairman, Omodewu, has been laid to rest.
Barrister Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, a former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, has been buried.
According to TalkTalk Nigeria , Omodewu served as the APC chairman in Oyo State till his death.
He previously served as commissioner for local government and chieftaincy concerns before becoming commissioner for housing under Governor Abiola Ajimobi's administration.
Omodewu died on August 19, 2024, in the United States, following a brief illness, at the age of 61.
He is from the state's Itesiwaju local government region, namely Otu.
The funeral was held at First Baptist Church in Otu.
The late chairman's remains was later lowered into the grave amid emotions, with mourners unable to hold back tears on Friday.
The burial was attended by APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, Senators Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North), Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central) and Sharafadeen Alli (Oyo South).
